Hydraulic Cylinder

Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinder
Manufacturer in India |

A single acting hydraulic cylinder is one of the simplest and most dependable ways to convert hydraulic pressure into linear force. Oil enters through a single port and pushes the piston out to lift, tip, press or push a load. The return stroke happens on its own — using gravity, the weight of the load, or a spring — with no oil needed in the opposite direction.

At Fiable Hydraulics, every single acting cylinder is honed, machined and assembled in-house at our ISO 9001:2015 certified plant in Chakan, Pune, and pressure tested before dispatch. Built to the exact bore, stroke and mounting your machine needs — not adapted from a catalogue size. Fifteen years of supplying OEMs, machine builders and exporters across India and 20+ countries.

Choose single acting when the load or a spring can reliably return the rod and the return speed does not need controlling.

Choose double acting when the rod must be powered both ways, when the cylinder is horizontal with no gravity assist, or when you need to hold position mid-stroke.

Applications

Our Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinders are used across various industries where reliable one-way hydraulic force is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about ordering, delivery, or custom designs? Find your answers below.

A Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinder uses hydraulic pressure to move the piston in one direction only, while the return movement is achieved by gravity, an internal spring, or the external load. A Double Acting Hydraulic Cylinder uses hydraulic pressure for both extension and retraction, providing controlled movement in both directions.

Yes. We manufacture cylinders according to your required bore size, stroke length, mounting style, pressure rating, and application requirements.

These cylinders are widely used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, dump trailers, presses, lifting systems, waste handling equipment, and various OEM industrial applications.

Depending on operating conditions, commonly used seal materials include NBR, Polyurethane (PU), and Viton.

Cylinder selection depends on load capacity, working pressure, stroke length, mounting arrangement, operating environment, and duty cycle. Our engineering team can help recommend the right configuration for your application.
